“By participating in this (contest), they have made me realize that there are many more conflicts or problems that need to be discussed and talked about”. [A part of me said to myself: “You are just sending a message, you are not doing anything about it”, but the fact that you are talking about things that are not talked about, is already doing something about it”, says Oscar López, winner of the first place in the MUITF category.
With this contest, Ipas Bolivia reaffirms the importance of creating spaces where young people can express their ideas, question prejudices and contribute, from their own voices, to the prevention of social problems that affect their daily lives. Using formats that are close to home, such as short videos on the TikTok social network, the “Sin Peros en la Lengua” contest demonstrated that talking about these issues is also a way to promote information, reflection and change.
