As part of EXPOCRUZ, one of the most important multisectoral fairs in the country, Ipas Bolivia participated in the European Union stand on September 20 and 21, at the invitation of the Swedish Embassy in Bolivia. During these days, the organization presented information and awareness-raising activities on the prevention of early and forced marriages and unions (MUIFT).
Among the advances highlighted and promoted by Ipas Bolivia was the modification of Law No. 603 of the Code of Families and Family Process, which establishes the full nullity of marriages celebrated before the age of 18, without the possibility of validation.
Ipas Bolivia’s participation in the fair included the dissemination of information aimed at the population of Santa Cruz. It also had the support of the Swedish Embassy and the participation of young leaders, who took part in the activities.
