La Paz, October 14, 2024. This Monday, Ipas Bolivia officially launched “Dr. Violeta: Against Sexual Violence,” an innovative artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot designed to assist women and gestational survivors of sexual violence in Bolivia. This tool seeks to offer immediate and confidential guidance on how to prevent the consequences of sexual violence on sexual and reproductive health, with a priority on preventing sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unwanted pregnancies resulting from rape.

Available 24 hours a day, Dr. Violeta is accessible through WhatsApp (+591 76789702) and an online chat on her website Dr. Violeta. Her presence on these platforms ensures easy and quick access from anywhere, as long as the person has an internet connection. Its objective is to empower women to act quickly and effectively in situations of sexual violence, providing reliable information in real time.

One of the highlights of the chatbot is the confidentiality that allows users to ask questions and receive guidance without fear of their information being disclosed. Dr. Violeta provides a safe space to receive crucial advice at critical moments.

The chatbot uses AI to quickly answer questions and provide personalized recommendations, addressing topics such as STI prevention and emergency contraception use.

The creation of this chatbot responds to the urgent need for immediate and accessible solutions for women who face barriers to obtaining timely medical care. It also represents a significant advance in the use of technology to address public health issues such as sexual violence.
