On August 19, 2026, Ipas Bolivia and the Association for Social Development and Cultural Promotion (ADESPROC) Libertad signed a strategic partnership to strengthen joint efforts aimed at advancing the sexual and reproductive rights (SRR) of LGBTIQ+ individuals. The agreement will enable the coordination of capabilities, knowledge, and experiences from a perspective that emphasizes gender, human rights, diversity, and non-discrimination.
ADESPROC Libertad is a Bolivian organization with nearly 20 years of experience promoting and defending the rights of LGBTIQ+ people, with a focus on DSDR. The partnership with Ipas Bolivia aims to build on this work and open up new opportunities for collaboration, institutional strengthening, and the development of joint initiatives.
During the signing ceremony, Dr. Malena Morales, director of Ipas Bolivia, emphasized the importance of building partnerships with organizations that have firsthand knowledge of the realities and needs of the people they work with, in order to make progress toward effectively guaranteeing sexual and reproductive rights.
“This partnership with Ipas Bolivia will allow us to build on this progress by strengthening our institutions, pooling our capabilities, and working together to promote rights.”
With this agreement, both organizations are embarking on a new phase of collaboration aimed at breaking down barriers, launching new initiatives, and fostering conditions that allow LGBTIQ+ people to exercise their sexual and reproductive rights with freedom, autonomy, dignity, and without discrimination.
