On March 18, 2026, Ipas Bolivia and ChildFund Bolivia signed an inter-institutional collaboration agreement aimed at strengthening the protection of children, adolescents and youth (NNAJ) in vulnerable situations. The initiative arises in a context marked by the increase of risks such as sexual violence, digital harassment and early unions, problems that demand articulated and urgent responses.
The main purpose of this alliance is to unite and strengthen the technical capabilities and experience of both organizations to promote comprehensive actions.
The alliance will be aimed at ensuring that children, adolescents and young people live in safe environments and fully exercise their rights. To this end, political and social advocacy actions will be promoted, based on specialized research on rights violations, as well as the mobilization of resources and communication strategies aimed at raising awareness at the national level.
This union represents not only an administrative agreement, but a direct change in the country’s protection strategy. Key benefits for the young population include:
- Comprehensive prevention: Implementation ofComprehensive Sexual Education(ESI) programsas a critical tool to prevent abuse.
- Safe digital environments: Specific actions to mitigate the risks of online violence.
- Eradication of harmful practices: A priority focus on the elimination of Child, Early and Forced Marriages and Unions (MUITF), which truncate the development of thousands of Bolivian girls.
- Youth protagonism: The participation of children, adolescents and young people will be encouraged, recognizing them not only as beneficiaries, but also as actors of change capable of transforming their own communities.
“This agreement is not just a formal act, but a conscious decision to join efforts to generate real and sustainable changes. Child protection cannot wait”.
For their part, Ipas Bolivia director Malena Morales, together with representatives of ChildFund, reaffirmed that prevention requires influencing public policies that transform the structural conditions that perpetuate violence.
With this signature, both institutions consolidate an inescapable commitment to the dignity and well-being of the new generations in Bolivia, working for a present and future where every child and adolescent grows up free from fear.
