As part of Bolivia’s Bicentennial celebrations, on October 29, the Human Rights Commission of the Chamber of Deputies of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, led by Congresswoman Betty Ya\u00f1iquez, awarded Ipas Bolivia the “Illimani Majestuoso del Bicentenario Award” in recognition of its contribution to human development, gender equity and the promotion of Sexual and Reproductive Rights (SRHR) in Bolivia.<\/p>\n
The event took place in the facilities of the Plurinational Legislative Assembly and was presided over by Congresswoman Betty Ya\u00f1\u00edquez, president of the Human Rights Commission, who stressed the importance of valuing the work of institutions and individuals who contribute to the collective welfare of the country.<\/p>\n

At the ceremony, awards were presented to outstanding personalities and institutions from different fields such as culture, education, health, sports and academia, who have contributed with their efforts and dedication to the strengthening of the country in the Bicentennial year. The event was attended by ambassadors, artists, companies and social institutions from all over the country, <\/p>\n
For Ipas Bolivia, this recognition represents an important boost to its sustained commitment to the defense of SRHR, the prevention of gender-based violence and the construction of a more equitable and egalitarian society.<\/p>\n
